located 6 miles west of the city centre, near the towns of Paisley and Renfrew
in Renfrewshire.
Last year the airport handled 8,178,891 passengers, a 7.0% annual reduction,
making it the 2nd busiest in Scotland, and eighth busiest airport in the United
Kingdom. In the previous year, the airport handled approximately 7.255 million
passengers. It was the first airport in Scotland to handle over one million
passengers in one month, in July 2004.
